As the chief operating officer (COO) for SAP North America, Thack Brown is responsible for the development and seamless execution of SAP’s go-to-market and sales strategies and is a driving force behind the region’s fast-growing cloud business.
Since joining SAP in 2008, Thack has held several roles, most recently as general manager and global head of the finance line of business, a post in which he oversaw the full suite of SAPs solutions for the Office of the CFO with the market’s most robust portfolio of solutions for finance professionals.
Before that, he led the sales and delivery teams, managing the implementation, adoption and value realization of a full range of SAP’s product portfolio, and was the COO for SAP Americas, ensuring operational excellence through service efficiency and effectiveness throughout North and South America. Thack was also COO for SAP Latin America and the Caribbean, and began his SAP career as chief financial officer for the same region, successfully managing control and compliance policies with the transparency needed to achieve top business results.
Prior to SAP, Thack was chief financial officer at Electronic Data Systems (EDS) in Latin America where he was also sales director for Brazil, a portfolio executive for Latin America, and held several global posts.
Fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, Thack has lived, worked, and studied around the world. He holds an international MBA with specialization in finance from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina, and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina.
